Improved vanilla body options?

Post » Mon Oct 08, 2012 7:26 am

Hey, I was just interested in improving the quality of the models and textures of the default vanilla bodies for maximum compatibility. Not interested in the body overhauls (although they're well done). Mainly since they seem to turn old people into... not old people. I'd also like compatibility with armors and clothing made to suit vanilla.

I'm looking for suggestions.

Best one for males is Roberts Skyrim03, compatible with every vanilla compatible male armour / clothing I have tried

Linking it is a problem though on this forum. We are not allowed to directly or in-directly link any advlt content.

If you go to Canadian Ice & Howndogs place, in the Skyrim WIPz forum http://grotto.moddersrealm.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=f473afaa26b05a0ac96ef2e8e51693e5&board=77.0

Look for Male replacer, then read through and find the last linked files by robert

Its manual install only so may need a bit of figuring out. Personally I dont use any of the oblivion adapted files, just the male meshes and textures.

I think there is a female setup in those too, but I dont know how complete it is, knowing robert though I would imagine its well done and probably vanilla compatible too (he didnt produce any armour / clothing meshes for the female setup so presume just like the males it should be good to go with vanilla armour / clothing)

For females I prefer using UNP with Navetseas 1.8 textures and faces and exeters armour and clothing meshes for UNP. Old folks still look old :)

Another is "Prometheus Better Female Natural Body" setup on nexus, these were specifically designed to be vanilla compatible, and has a vanilla poly count version and a higher poly count version - Either which you choose both have a texture set Prometheus did, or you can choose from a few other vanilla female texture sets to add to Prometheus meshes.

Just one more addition to the latter, you will also need FemFeet by Phygit (search femfeet on nexus).

I think you should be able to get what you are looking for out of the above :)

Wow! I did not even know Robert was working on a Skyrim set. But is it a final version? The last update seems to be back in Feb.
