Hello all,

I just made the Shellbug Helmet and i was going to improve it but when i went to the table i could only upgrade it to flawless, i have 100 smithing and i had enchanted some clothes so i could enchant things 25% better. Can you only improve it to flawless? Or am I missing somthing?

It's a miscellaneous item, so probably doesn't have a corresponding perk in the Smithing Skill Tree. Mine has been improved to Legendary, so it can be done. At a guess I'd say you would need to get your Smithing to 168 with gear and a potion.

You need the advanced armor perk in the smithing tree for most/all the Dawnguard added armors/items. =P

I heard the same thing for the Royal Vampire Armor....So your probably right thanks for the info.

i still haven't found one of those buggs.. planing to make that dang jester run around with it on his head!

One of the locations is a pretty cool find if you like exploring (make sure you have waterbreathing).

One of the caves is to the right against the wall from were you come in, just follow the wall and you cant miss it. You will need -Candlelight- or a torch they put the shellbugs in dark hallways....im pretty sure the cave im talking about though has a chain you have to pull.
