Increased number of Falmer Raids in Dawnguard?

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 8:20 pm

I was wondering if anyone else has seen an increase in the number of Falmer Raids on NPC while exploring. What I seem to be running across now more than before Downloading the DG DLC is a lot more raided wagons and dead groups of ("civilians", Bandits, Imperials, and Stormcloaks) NPCs along the roads with their wagons, horses, and bodies riddled with Falmer arrows.

Is this just an interesting coincidence on my game or has anyone else had an increase in the aftermath of Falmer raids in their games?

I've never seen a Falmer outside of a cave or Dwemer ruin.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I'm not talking about the Falmer themselves appearing but rather dead NPCs found along the roads of Skyrim that have Falmer arrows in them and the wagons.

I was drawing the conclusion that since they were killed by Falmer arrows that the Falmer were the ones firing them.

I haven't seen these before but after I installed Dawnguard I've come across 5 of them (groups or single dead NPCs killed by Falmer arrows) , I didn't know if it was something new that came with Dawnguard or if it was always there and I'm only now coming across it (which is possible with Skyrim after all). These arn't important or named NPCs just generic ones

I have noticed a few more wagons. But like others have said I have not actually seen the falmer.

The only Falmer attack I've seen is the wagon near Dragonbridge with the dead merchants but that's been in the game forever.

Interesting. Sounds to me like something they slipped in to foreshadow the next DLC.

This is also the only one I've ever seen. I'll keep my eyes open though

Perhaps the OP could point us to where these dead NPCs/wagons are?

I've come across 2 in the Reach (One North East and the other south east), 2 in the Pale, and 1 in between Windhelm and Riften.

I'll start taking screen shots if I come across anymore, It could be nothing more than just the Roll of the Random encounter dice.

Like I said before there arn't any Falmer just the Aftermath of their Raid: Falmer Arrows in and all around the dead bodies.

For the one between Riften and Windhelm, are you referring to the carriage with the dead Khajit next to the Giant camp just east of Bonestrewn Crest? Or is this a different carriage?

That sounds about right. I do recall heading north of Whiterun when you start getting in to the trees near the dwemer ruins. I found one there

Is the carriage you are referring to the one between Stonehills Mine and Frostmere Crypt?
