Increasing the number of ingredients for potions

I'm trying hard to get a feature into my mod that limits potion making. Usually when I'm returning from one of my 'Adventures' in Skyrim I'm often overloaded with ingredients and use them to boost my alchemy skill. One Adventure often creates ~200-250 potions. Not only do I think it's unrealistic and unimmersive, but also it renders the game to easy because of how you're able to spam health or magica potions.

First I've tried to lower the amount of ingredients collected from flora and fauna with a perk set to 'Modify Ingredients harvested' with a multiply value set to 0.50. This only turned out to work on items that actually had more then one ingredient on them. Now I'm trying to increase the number of ingredient needed to create a potion, which should be a more effective way. The problem is, alchemy crafting seems to be hard coded, or has anyone ver stumbled across a alchemy crafting script?
