I am a finicky gamer, and I am looking at getting a new console next year. My question is what are the benefits and drawbacks to both the Xbox 1 and the PS4? What games are exclusive to each system?

There is a limited array of games that I like, and they are:

Armored Core (I even occasionally replay my PS1 versions)

Elder Scrolls

Dragon Age (more the second than the first, didn't like combat in the first one, and recently bought the second do to reviews on here)

Fable (mostly 2 but 3 was okay)

Bushido Blade (PS1 is the only format I've ever seen this on)

Gundam Federation vs Zeon and Zeta vs Double Zeta

Star Wars Battlefront (1 and 2)

Dragons Dogma

Tenchu (PS1, and Tenchu Z)

I don't care for most fighters but the large free range battlefields in Bushido Blade and Gundam are fun for me as opposed to the closed arenas of street fighter. I love open world games with a do anything anytime feel.

Without bashing the other system, give me your input on your system both the good and bad, and the games available to it.

I love Tenchu games!

Honestly if you are going to make the purchase next year, maybe wait on a possible price drop, or more games for each system and definitely more bugs worked out.

This has been proven to be an unpopular suggestion for some reason...but when you are shopping consider a laptop with HDMI output and a game controller. You can hook it up to the same TV you would hook up a console to and might find that you can get one that is comparable for a comparable price.
