I'm currently writing a scene for a story where the protagonist is being condemned for a crime he didn't commit. Had some pre-readers tell me to deal with pacing, as well as the length of scenes to draw the story out into a better format.

Does anyone out there have a memorable scene from a movie, game, fictional/non-fictional book, comic, or other piece that deals with a person, man or woman, being walked to their "final judgment" of sorts?

Need to use the idea for this book as a test bed, and then use it for a very prominant turning point in a story i've been working on for quite some time.

2004 Punisher when Frank Castle prepares to take down Howard Saint. He writes that declaration of intent because he doesn't expect to survive. I know it's a pretty crappy movie but I always liked that little speech he gives.
