Inspirational Messages of any kind

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 9:18 am

I've recently been looking around for some motivational/inspirational videos, just because they always lift my spirit around this time of years with exams and other such things.

This video always got me going during track. I just thought 'pain is temporary' whenever I got slightly tired. Never ran out of energy after.

If you guys got anything, feel free to share!

Not a video but I find this quote very inspiring:

'Through the centuries there were men who took first steps down new roads armed with nothing but their vision.'

Just watched a movie on quantum physics and quantum mechanics entitled, " What the Bleep Do We Know". It actually had some great, positive enlightenment type of messages. Look it up and find some clips. It has a live action portion with Maureen McInery and some Osmosis Jones style figures. It essentially broke all of life down to chemical reactions and these little micro reactions to all sorts of "addictions" it was kind of depressing but ultimatelty the message was that you can build yourself to be anything. That is because the meaning of life is to become god ( not with a capital g so this isn't a religous debate). Essentially meaning you are not wrong, you are not right, you have no addiction to any emotion or any substance, it is a perfect world built by you for you. Pretty deep, sometimes [censored]ish type of stuff, but ultimately I came away feeling good.

The Desiderata 1927 poem by Max Ehrmann
Spoiler
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11 of the Bible.
Nothin' like some Jeremiah 29 to start the day.
Least redundant way to write this:
The Lord declares you're going to prosper, not be harmed, given hope and a future.

"I'll be damned..."
I'll be damned if they take more rights away from law abiding citizens to enforce a more totalitarian system of government so they can treat us all like petty thieves.

i don't believe in religion, for me I live in an area where people can do whatever the hell they want as long as they make the tithing payment every month. So they can exploit the public and create a profit off what others think is salvation. I'll burn in hell before I buy into the whole heretical none sense. You brought it I didn't

ok I don't believe in a specific religion specifically because they really represent the darkside. So i'm kind of burned on the whole concept in general.

Lets hear another quote as to why you will be a higher glory to be celestial than I have the capacity too because I was born into a lesser glory. bunch of nonesnse and i dont buy it. Besides I think once he started rewriting mathew over again god had his vengence to be honest.
