Installed tons of mods, but the a new game won't start, and

I've been installing mods for over a day now, and when I was done an wanted to enjoy the 'fruits of my work', the game got stuck on loading a new game. It's not freezing or something, it just keeps 'loading' endlessly. I know it's probably a mod conlficting with another, but what I don't understand is that the saves of my test character, Sven the Farmer, work fine. When I was done installing mods, I loaded up his save-file, and everything worked perfectly. Maybe someone can help me with this, because I find it very curious that a new game doens't work, but saves do work?

Also, Wrye Bash says that an invalid plugin load order has been detected, but I don't know what I should do with that info.

Edit: And the tick before Jaysus Swords is orange instead of green.

I've had some ENB's do that on me... changing the config or the enb itself has solved it.

Save for the official high-res textures, WATER and Skyrim realistic overhaul, i haven't installed anything related to that.

Got that with Live another life, never understood why and I tried everything that was in the readme. Perhaps it doesn't like non-english Skyrim :/

I don't know this for certain, but I have a faint recollection of somebody somewhere sometime reporting something similar with that mod. It might have been a case, where an update version required the original one to also be in place and would not work alone.

Generally, I would recommend against adding mods by the ton. It might be more prudent to test your game in some depth after each kilogram.

I'll disable Jaysus Swords. About the testing of mods, I did that pretty accurate. After every three mods, I booted up Skyrim to check if it worked, but apparently, only saves-games work.

I disabled Jaysus mod, and Skyrim works fine now. Anybody an idea how to make the mod work, because I really like those weapons.

I thought I already stated:

although it is of course not certain.

Besides, your saves working might be consistent with that possibility, if they have a previous version of the mod, or at least key parts of it, somehow baked into them, as can happen. Still, I don't know how prone the mod in question would be to that.

I'm surprised that it broke Skyrim, but it's a known problem. That mod is a one of many that were made with a modding tool, TESVSnip, before the CK was released. Some data in mods is compressed, and apparently the CK uses a buggy compression format. So TESVSnip can create mods that are broken (as far as Skyrim is concerned). This is supposed to have been fixed now, but there are still a few mods out there that can cause problems, and Jaysus Swords is one of them. Wrye Bash will launch a pop-up that says "Unrecognized Versions" for mods that are suffering from this problem. The worst thing is that these mods can appear to be fine, but lead to long-term save corruption, so a lot of people avoid them entirely.

The previous UKSP thread discussed the issue if you want more info. There are a lot of people who know more about the issue than I do.
