Installing patch= crap.

Post » Wed May 11, 2011 1:40 am

After I installed the new patch that came out earlier this week, I started my game (in the Repcon Research Labs) and now the audio in the game has annoying static (reminiscent of a radio signal that doesn't come in properly in your PB). I tried loading another game, and it doesn't have the same annoying buzz, but after 60 hours on my original game, this kinda pisses me off. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I don't fancy the idea of having a ridiculously annoying sound throughout the game from now on. After experiencing in game freezes, tons of bugs, and now- when the developers try and "fix something- they make matters worse. Jesus Christ, get with the program, guys.

Have you tried leaving the research labs to see if the sound follows?

Also what system are you on?

Where's Repconn research lab?
I know of Repconn test site and Repconn Headquarters. Now you tried loading another game? Do you mean you loaded a different save file or do you mean you a "different" game. Have you checked your radio, turned it on and off. Knowing more about exactly where you are and what quest you were recently doing would be helpful.

Yes. I have left the entire building. Sound still follows. And I'm playing on 360.

Perhaps I misspoke. I think the Repconn research lab is in the Repconn headquarters...I think. The sound was there in my auto save file after I completed the Come Fly With Me quest. Keep in mind that it wasn't there when I completed it before the patch. After said patch was installed, bam- static was there. I also tried loading a save file that was actually saved before I started the quest because I've heard that the quest could be game breaking.

And, yes, I loaded another game- meaning another profile- within New Vegas- however, no sound arises. I'm just frustrated that this happened to my game that had over 60 hours on it- not the one that had only 8.

No problems here,

must be luck though :P

There is no solution to this, never had that problem, but maybe a new game fix it
