Instance Naming Rules - how do they work?

I'm talking about the system the game uses to change the name on weapons based on the attached mods - https://github.com/TES5Edit/TES5Edit/issues/287 I think explains it well enough for me to understand, but I still have a few questions. Judging by how it looks in FO4Edit, it seems like most of the item names are rolled into only a few records, so adding new keywords (like new object modifications on existing items) would cause compatibility issues.



I guess a more general question is, how can I set up the equipment names to change based on the new object mods I add?
