Interesting point from ps3 users.

It seems that to stop any lag in the game for ps3 users some textures in the game may have been lowered to help the game run smoother?
Does this mean that when they improve the xbox texture issue we will have problems with lag, maybe they originally gave us low textures here and there all along to keep the game running smoother?

And why the hell did ps3 patch start rolling today and we have to wait 2 more days, MS what the [censored] are you guys doing in there?

I wouldn't have thought so. When all the textures do load properly in the 360 version it still runs the same.

If it's not broken, don't try to fix it. I'll stick with USB as well and will wait few days before I make my move and update... Just want to hear some feedback on the patch first ;)

As far as I've read the PS3 lag issues are to do with large save game file sizes and extended periods of play, not textures, people were complaining that when their save file got above 5MB lag started creeping in and the larger the file the worse it got.

I think the texture thing was a separate issue, but if I'm wrong someone is sure to shoot me down.

I've also read Sony have loosened up procedures for devs to fix issues, this in turn has led to faster turn around speeds for patche releases, I read Sony green lit the fixes as soon as they got them. I'm not saying what I read was right but from the PS3 patch release it would appear to be on the mark. MS have never been speedy at certifying anything, look at the graphics driver releases on PC, I'll guarantee there isn't one person with updated drivers that are certified.

Sadly hasn't worked so well though. Framerate is still appalling much of the time :(

Same here. The only difference between using a flash drive an hdd is that when installing it take quite a bit longer for a flash drive, but since you only do it once, its not a big deal.

Well unfortunately ive been having Frame rate drops, lag and freezes since last week.
And yes im playing on the 360 version. Im around 90hrs in and no i doubt its my 360 since i can play any other game just fine with out any freezing whatsoever!
So this patch will do me no good if it only fixes the texture problem from installing it to the HDD.
They should of looked into this problem as well since it seems i am not the only one with this problem 360 side.

well worth the effort!
Im running mine from a USB flash with no HDD and I get all sorts of texture problems. To be clear, I was getting them just running from disk as well and I guess it makes sense due to not having a HDD to cache to. Seems odd though that I have heard little of people with only the X360 4gb experiencing these issues.

I am only at around 30hrs in and I have started to get freezing now too :(

It started with npcs dialogue freezing if I wanted to do another action as they tried to speak to me, but it eventually caught up and unfroze after a few minutes eventually.
Now it has started freezing solid and I need to re-boot the xbox to get anything to respond.

They also need to fix the weapon stands in houses too as I now can't use them? :(

I also get an annoying glitch where artifacts appear/tearing as you turn, a bit like seeing something out of the corner of your eye. At first I thought I was seeing things or it was butterflys close up, but it isn't.

I have cleared my xbox cache by manualy deleting old save files and trying the RB+LB+X as it boots, but no difference.

Brilliant game, but needs some bug fixing please!
