Interesting strategies for a mage?

I'm going to experiment with a pure mage character, Khajiit. Usually when I play a mage, he isn't focused on more than 2-3 schools of magic, but I want to do all schools of magic with this mage and see how much I can miix it up.

So all schools of magic, including enchanting, no smithing, and no alchemy. If I have any perks left over after all of that, I will add pickpocket and maybe a few sneak perks.
Once I get access to the Atronoch forge, I'll make a Daedric dagger, no perks in one-hand, two hand, just a delivery system for high fire and shock enchantments on it.

I'll probablly have him heavily focused on destruction (no-duel casting) the most out of any school, I will have a follower with me at all times, Kharjo the Khajiit guard for the caravans. So since I have a follower I don't see a need for twin souls perk in conjuration as that might break the game having 3 fighting for you. Alteration mainly for the perks and paralyze, I have no interest in magical protection. No idea what kind of shouts I would use. I'm starting him on adept difficulty and after he gets strong enough I'm bumping it up to master.

He's gonna be kind of a dark mage, doing Daedra quests and such, but not totally by the book evil, more gray than bad.

Use paralyze and flame wall. Lay down a wall and when an enemy steps on it, paralyze them. It's hilarious.

Slow time plus ice storm can be awesome too. Try to get all three words of slow time.

Quiet casting plus sneak plus conjure atronachs into a crowd of people is fun.

Sneak up with invisibility and unleash a master destruction spell.

Mage light can be used to draw enemies to a particular area, similar to shooting arrows at a wall.

If you're being chased you can still attack by casting a rune.

That's all I can think of right now.

I actually didn't know that mage light attracts enemies like an arrow. Thanks for the tip.

I'm gonna try out the paralyze and flame wall, that sounds interesting.

Imput. Let's talk strategies. I know that illusion and pickpocket can be fun.

a build that have planned in the future is a khajiit mage/monk. He will focus on most schools of magic, but also suppliment it with unarmed attacks. so needless to say he will delve heavily into enchanting. but basically he will use destructions spells to windle down oppenents health but then finish them off with a few swift claw attacks to the face. I'm working on my Dragonborn charactor for the upcoming dlc, but after him i will move onto the mage build
