I can easily see why he was annoyed at the question of graphics :)

Whining trolls are whiny.

Anyways, it was a good interview, and i was especially intrigued by the news we've seen no max-PC screenshots at all :O

thanks for posting this... so Cevat said "But honestly, the PC version hasn’t been shown off yet at all. They were rendered out of PC but at console settings. The PC settings aren’t being disclosed at all right now. We haven’t made any screenshots yet that show the PC settings."

So does this mean that the E3 demo of central station was actually played on the 360 and not with just the controller? If so im pumped!

crysis 1 is gpu hungry and unoptimized .Bad optmization doesnt make an engine system killer.Good optimization and insane graphics do something a system killer. Also if u got a new rig then crysis runs very smooth but still depends much of what gpu u have

Crysis 1 on Max setting is a system-killer

The only other game on my PC that runs with a lower Framerate is Just Cause 2, maybe it has a large render distance but it doesn't look as good a Crysis

I didnt know we have such distinguished guests in this forum that can tell if crysis was unoptimized. THey must have some mad game development skills. We should give them our money and ask them to make they greatest game ever.
There is a little game called metro 2033 which was on all platforms yet is even better looking then crysis 1.

I totally agree with Cevat. Crysis 1 had less minimum requirements than Crysis 2 yet people wanted to max out crysis on sub-standard hardware. If you want best visuals, you should also get best hardware. People gave crytek too much **** for making a graphically intensive game.

These days pc gamers have become valve groupies and just play CS:S, TF2 and COD on old hardware and then expect to run every game maxed out on their machines, and when asked the reason for not upgrading they say no game requires powerful hardware these days.

Min requirement of C2 is a 8800GT and some people say its way to high and thus label is unoptimized while some say it's too low and they labeling it a console port. Do you think xbox version of metro 2033 looked as good as pc version?? Learn this term "Scalable Engine"

You're all overlooking the fact that you can make configs to make the game look better than it would at max settings.

I hope that all DX11 features are utilized and optimized to the greatest extent possible.

I want my GTX 570 to crash and burn Crytek! 60 fps is for wusses! 15 is the new 60. :P

I want tesselation, DoF, and all other features of DX11. There are options to turn those off in the menu for a reason, its not feasible for a GTX 460 to max Crysis 2. ;)

its simple to see how unoptimize it was
Run it on a core i7 and on q6600 the difference is little.Crysis is a gpu hungy game.Thats called bad optimize.Metro 2033 is really bad outdoors and without physx is not something of a big deal .The indoors graphics are sweet though and the light, smoke is epic. I have a pc build from 2007 and yes until now none of the games that came out need new hardware to be maxed out.I hope crysis 2 is the reason to do it but not so many games in the future have insane requirements that u need to upgrade your pc.Also valve is the best company in terms of support and updates and they know how to make pc games .

yes valve knows pc gamers want to pay for ingame hats. I highly doubt just cause 2 can be maxed out with 2007 hardware

Hats dont give u any gameplay advantage so dont buy them .As for my rig the only thing i changed is i bought an ati 4870 .So q6600 at 3.2 my 4 giga ram and ati 4870 1 giga ram max out the 95% percent of todays games. No need to upgrade judging the fact that most games coming to 2011 arent so graphically heavy

That's really not being fair. When Crysis was coming out, single core processors were still quite common and dual cores were just starting to gain in popularity. Quad cores were uncommon. From what I know, Crysis can use two cores well, while the rest is used minimally. Crysis was heavily optimized given the hardware at the time.

4870 is a dx10 only card. There are plenty of games that have dx11 features and bf3, deus ex 3 and crysis 2 will all have directx 11 effects. So you do need to upgrade

Crysis is still the best looking game out there, and it was made in 2007. Who cares if some of the techniques were not as refined back then?

IT LOOKS AMAZING YOU BUNCH OF WHINING BABIES.
