No, these are loaded from my CD actually. Guess I can't use your vidoe then. It looks brilliant, though, and I hope you redo the other videos as well.

My copy of Morrowind also plays videos directly from the CD by default, but the HD version is still working just fine after copying it into proper folder ('Data Files/Video')... Open up 'Morrowind.ini' file. Does your '[Movies]' section look like this?:

I am stupid, and forgot to turn on showing file extensions after a new installation of Windows so I accidentally renamed the file to mw_intro.bik.bik. Everything's working fine now.

Logitech: Thanks for that. I've been playing off the Steam copy so long that I forgot they play off of the disc in the physical copy :shrug: I'll be sure to note that somewhere.

I got a bit tied up with some of my own mods and the new automagical Installer for MGSO, but I planned to revisit it this weekend.



The Morrowind intro was possible because it consists primarily of scenic views of landscape and some video effects. There is no live action, mocapping, special animations, art, and luckily the dialog and music were high-quality enough that using the originals was viable. Both Arena and Daggerfall's intros fail one or more of these criteria. Not to mention (at least in Arena's case), there would be no way of actually getting the intro into the game (Arena predates the capacity for video playback).

Bloodmoon's videos will also not be done, for the above reasons.

Looks nice, though the characters with diacritic marks (like all that ?, ? ? etc) look a bit different than other characters. Also the subtitles during Azura talk are a bit more fancier in the original intro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zqn36IaUDVU. Though these are minor problems and I wouldn't mind if you leave it as it is. Good work!
