Can we checked if an inventory item is favourited or mapped to a shortcut key?

I could be wrong, but I think they get put into a formlist?

I think the Dawnguard Vampire Lord uses something like this in order for spells to be available? I cannot confirm due to being away from the CK + haven't got that far through Dawnguard yet.
