Hi,

I returned to Fort Dawnguard after rescuing Dexion Evicus. I spoke with Sorine Jurard and she tells me to ask Isran about recruiting Florentius Baenius.

The problem is that Isran does not say anything about Florentius. Any explanation?

My Skyrim is really bug free so far (375 hours of gameplay) and the only mods i use are textures replacers. I tried to reload previous saves but no change. I play the PC French version.

For information, this is my first Dawnguard playthrough. The Skyrim main quest is not completed, i finished Alduin's Wall and the Throat of the World is opened in my journal. I think that maybe i have to complete another Dawnguard quests before that Bolstering the Ranks quest can continue? (maybe Chasing Echoes, Seeking Disclosure?)

you're on the computer, why not just change the stage of the quest? Or just complete it through console and work around it?

Because i want to know if this is normal (for example, like i said, another quest to complete before). I don't want to use the console if i can avoid it.

I'm on PC, mod free (other than texture packs and the unofficial patch (which doesn't affect DG stuff)), and I had no problems with Bolstering the Ranks.

Glitches definitely happen though - I didn't get "A Jarl's Justice" from Isran - just randomly annoying; in your case I might try the console.

As far as I know, there's no prerequisite for Bolstering the Ranks (apart from recruiting Sorine first, of course). Console commands might be the only solution here.

I had no choice but to use console commands several times in my play through cause of bugs, it's normal for dawnguard lol
