Item Magnitudes and Scripts

Post » Tue Nov 30, 2010 12:10 am

Having a bit of trouble with the item effects since i'm reworking some of the crafting system. One problem is assigning a value to an item like +2 or +3 strength, but it comes out as a x2 value being +4 or +6. When making a new digestible item how to I get the values to be +2 or +3 instead of being times 2 values?

Also dealing with scripts at the moment anyone know where the script/coding is for the meltdown perk? Trying to find the bit of coding that allows the game to determine when the player is holding a projectile based weapon like a pistol/rifle vs an energy type weapon.

If the "food" checkbox on an ingestible is checked, it will use the Survival skill to modify any values that have magnitude. If the "medicine" box is checked, then it will use the Medicine skill to do the same.

Ahh ok thanks for the info there wasn't sure how it was being modified and will definitely fix that value. My only question is how did they get the *I think* Brahmin Meat to be +3. Wonder how much of a modifier the Survival and Medicine skills are plus where they would be located.
