one or two people saying it sure, you get that on probably every game. But the fact that 1 in 5 threads you read on the forum since its release friday with people in each thread claiming its the best game they have ever played, it really says something about bethesda. I mean how many modern games that you know that you can say its one of the greatest, let alone THE greatest?

Dunno what else to say : / Bethesda have done something really impressive here.. I enjoy just reading the comments of how much people are enjoying it and just wanted to share this observation.

Once the bug on PS3 with the game getting progressively laggier as you play gets fixed I will add my "Greatest game ever" thread on here.

Way too soon for me to tell if it is the best game ever. 14 hours in so far, and I can definitely say it is better than Oblivion. At the moment that is enough for me

It is certainly the most stable PC release Bethesda have done in a long time! Only 1 CTD so far for me, and it actually runs smoother that Fallout NV

This game is a master piece because it offers something no other game has till this date, but is it a masterpiece if you look at it from the perspective of it's predecessors it is debatable. Personally, I do not consider this game a master piece, more like a quick snack between OB and the Elderscrolls VI

Without a doubt, it's a great game, and it looks superb.

However, when you read the hardware and software forum for the PC users, you'll get an idea of how poorly the UI was ported from the 360 to the PC. Add to that the fact the Bethesda has announced a patch for the 360, and not a word of acknowledgement to the PC users, it kind of makes me feel like the proverbial stepchild.

Now we know why some companies have months of beta testing before they release their game/expansions.

I do, and so far in over two years this is the only game that honestly EVERYONE on my steam friends list is playing, as well as people I know playing on consoles.

I have not seen one playing MW3 nor have I had anyone speak about it, rage got no where near the attention and players this did and even BF3 was not this popular.

i kinda agree.

i am a big gamer, playing every major game that comes out (including smaller ones that just seem interesting and fun) and i still think this is the best game i've played. i feel so strange saying this, as it's a huge generalization, but i dont think i've enjoyed a game more than i enjoy skyrim. not Batman:AA, not AC (any of them), not oblivion, not Farcry 2 (estimating over 40 hours in this one)... these were some of my most beloved games.

the only game i played and enjoyed more was GTAIV (well played over 50 hours, single player and a little bit of multiplayer) , but this was due to mods as well that added more things to do in SP. i have a feeling that skyrim will have enough vanilla content and mods to pass GTAIV in the long run, in my opinion.

right now i think Skyrim is ridiculously amazing (im 25 hours in).

There are more complaint threads than praise threads, as with any game. The game is good, but trying to induce such a conclusion is meaningless.

All it shows is the devoted fan brigade is in full swing.

I knew from the second I rode into Helgan on the carriage that Skyrim wasn't going to be like Oblivion... I love the turn they took and I have never said this about a game ever! But this truly is The best game I have been able to experience. Thanks Bethesda. For all the things you did right . The things you did wrong or didn't do at all dont even put a glint in the amazing masterpiece you have created. Can't wait for Hammerfell!!! Lol
