Upon my pilgrimage to High Hrothgar, i have to cross the bridge in Ivarstead, but the guards start attacking me for no reason, i haven t been there before or havent stolen anything from there, nor killed anybody... so what is the reason? Bug or feature? Any ideas?

Nope...it was on my first visit EVER, when i decided to continue the MQ a little in order to unlock the full Shout (unrelenting force) as soon as i was in eyes reach they started firing away, really annoying...

Did you happen to join the Stormcloaks before this point? I had a bounty in Iverstead for a LOT of money after the first major "attack" quest in the Stormcloak line. I also have a high bounty in another town I've never been.

Spoiler about what attack quest I mean.
Spoiler
The attack quest being the attack on Whiterun, that is.

No i m neither stormcloaks nor Legion, both invited me though, but i havent joined any of them...

As soon as townspeople see me they start running away in fear and the guards attack, but i m wether a vamp nor a werewolf, nor have i a bounty on my head...

I have had the same thing happen to me twice now upon entering Ivarstead and I have no clue as to what I have done to upset them...I pay the fine and emerge in Riften.
Gaurds that pass me once I get back to Ivarstead call me a sneaky thief....I haven't stolen anything (that I am aware of) on this character as I an trying to play a Knight/Paladin.

Is your race a Khajiit? The Khajiit are not allowed to enter towns by the Nords. I'm not sure how it effects yours actual character though.

Did you kill someone or steal anywhere outside the city nearby? I know that when I stole from a house or pick pocketed someone in Riverwood, the guards in Whiterun wanted my head.

When you do something that is illegal, pay attention to the top left of your screen. White text will pop up if you're caught that says, "insert gold amount here bounty was added in insert name of city here"

phew... in a huge game like this there should be a log to keep track of something like this... just like Oblivion had... but still... i dont think they attack me for my criminal behaviour (cause i didnt do anything) i start to believe it s a bug... thank god Ivarstaedt hasnt any worthwhile quests, so i will avoid it until this bug is fixed

there is a way. Press start/esc and look for crime. Shows if you have a bounty in any region.

hm, i only have "quests" General stats" and "System" as choosable options... there is no "crime" option

edit: scratch that, i found it... i seem to have a bounty in the "Rift" region... which ivarsteadt seem to belong to, strange, because i didnt travel that region before....... but how do i repay it when they attack me on sight? i don t even have n option to pay my fine...
