Clairvoyance is very odd. Sometimes it helps a lot. But most of the times I have ended running whole night to nowhere. And it's crashed game for me several times (actually, the only crashes I've seen yet all related to clairvoyance.

Such a waste of a spell.

it is a lifesaver for me on so many quests. It does lead you in the wrong direction sometimes and makes you take the long route other times but most of the time it does it's job though there are times it glitches and can't find any path too.

Well, for the most part it tries to take you down roads or paths if you're somewhere out in the open. And I'm sure there's lots of parts where you could just shortcut through some fields or wilderness.

The best way to make it reliable is to remove all other markers.

From what I've seen I believe it prioritizes the latest assigned quest marker, unless you have a custom marker, in which case it will use that.

Just toggled all your other markers off if you want it to work properly.

There's people that use that spell?
Would you also use spells that instantly teleport you to the target of your current quest?

I've used the clairvoyance spell once, when I just couldn't find the right path I needed. Very helpful. But yes, you need to remove all other quest markers to get it working for you.

Some areas are in particularly mountains regions with paths that are not immediately obvious, so yes I do use it on occasion to navigate mountains areas.

What it does best is to find small objects you need to find. Otherwise the compass works just fine.

Well, tt helped me to find sunken body for one quest. But another time I was on voyage through Skyrim and never get me to object, while it was pretty near the place I started to use clairvoyance. And yes, only one quest tracking at the time.

If you can read the map you dont even need clairvoyance, but sometimes it can be useful to find a door you just cant see. But even then i think its quicker to check the map real quick to see the pathway then to go into my spells and equip clairvoyance.

Just has me going back and forth. Cast it and it gives a direction, travel a few steps cast again and it sends me back in the opposite direction.

Completely useless

I generally dont like things like this in a game but its saved my ass a couple times. For one quest I had to collect three items to advanced and searched for an hour for the third one. I finally used clairvoyance and found out that it had gone behind a rock into a corner. I had to jump up to see it. No way I would have found it otherwise. I couldn't even pick it up. I had to repeatedly shout to pop it. out of the hole.

Depends on the quest. If it's a place I've been before, then yes, I'd teleport to it. :)

I use the spell when I get lost in a dungeon and I'm wandering around trying to find the way out and getting impatient.

I only use it in dungeons, especially if I have to find the way out again. Strolling through a dungeon in which you've killed and seen everything already is boring. Out in the open, I never use it.

Clairvoyance has never even indicated a path for me. "No clear path" every time I use it, no matter where.

I had it sending me in the wrong direction; turns out if you have a misc quest marked, but not the misc category, the spell might chose the marked misc quest as the destination...

One thing that clairvoyance does with depressing predictability is lead you to the barred from the other side door youre supposed to leave the dungeon from ><

All in all its a relatively useful spell to navigate both the outside world and dungeons, and I like it better than questmarkers.
You can roleplay being prescient and asking the gods for guidance.

I suppose the spell path is using the same mechanics as the NPC pathfinding ? Sometimes they have problems too...
