I'm watching Giant Bomb's 12 hour live stream of Skyrim, and the player just arrived at part of the game that Todd showed in the Quake Con demo where a dark elf is trapped in webs. In the demo, the dark elf was voiced by Jeff Baker and had that old wonderful Morrowind raspy voice.

In the live stream, the dark elf has some other almost cockney sounding voice!

So I guess it's just like Oblivion, with the awesome raspy dark elf voice in the previews but not in the finished game.

Soooooo disappointed.

Aren't there 70+ voice actors? Hopefully some of the Dunmer have raspy voices.

This is my one want. I miss those voices so bad... if they lied about this, I will eternally dissapointed. I loved the raspy voices

I'm sure we'll find out for sure tomorrow. I hope the raspy voice is there.

According to the credits, there are two voice actors credited as dunmers: Lani Minella and Keith Szarabajka (Joshua Graham in Fallout New Vegas: Honest Hearts). I haven't heard them, but Szarabajka's natural voice is quite raspy, so he can pull it off.

I don't care too much about the voice but it would be disappointing if they taunted fans with it again.

That wasn't actually Jeff Baker in the demo, just some dude imitating the raspy voice. And, as has been said, there are 70 voice actors, which means it's multiple voices for each race. I've seen forumers say that they've heard both raspy and normal voices from the Dunmer.
