Jenassa or Serana

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 3:41 pm

So, I've got to a point in the MQ where I can choose to take Serana with me to do some stuff. Thing is, I like hanging out with Jenassa A LOT. Creepy a lot.

Is it worth ditching her back in Whiterun and going around with Serana for a bit? Will I miss good dialogue etc, if I don't? No spoilers, please!

I say take Serena with you just for the Dawnguard quests, her comments and insight honestly make it much more immersive. After that kick her butt back to her castle and take your Dunmer ladyfriend.

Serana's AI is really interesting. If you go to an Inn or just idle around for a while, she'll do stuff like sit down and pace on her own. I AFK'd for 20 minutes or so in Dragon Bridge Inn while taking her back to Volkihar, I came back and she was patiently waiting in a chair across the room. The moment I started moving, she got up and followed me.

Also, I swear she's Voiced by Christine from Dead Money (New Vegas), so that's automatic win.

Serana is my favorite character in Skyrim at the moment she seems so alive. If she didn't nerf VL powers I would take her with me all the time.

They should really fix that so I can enjoy having her around again.

Does Serana become non-essential once the questline ends (like many npcs) or is she always essential and immortal?

Jenassa died on me while I was on an assassination mission. When Dawnguard comes out on PC, I'm going with Serana.

I love janessa, but she is a bit of a butter face with a man voice.

She is still the only follower I will use for stealthy missions.

Yeah they should have fixed it ... it was a problem since the beginning of the beta and there were so many threads about it ...
