I just bought my copy of Skyrim in our shop( I live in the netherlands)

Before everbody starts flaming or what ever

I CANNOT PLAY SKYRIM YET......

You have to install it through the program steam. Which wont let me install the game..(probebly becuz its not 11-11-11 yet)

At what time will steam unlock the install ability?

And whose team? GMT+1? +2?

If I got Skyrim early I'd have the manual memorized by the time it unlocks. Hee!

Lol yep Free Record Shop sells them that's were I par time work, we sell it indeed awkward enough. It Works on the xbox 360 you'll have to wait for it to unlock on steam.

It will unlock midnight at GTM 0 in Europe

Since you are on Central European Time it will unlock at 1am.

See all those developers are affraid about piracy and stuff but see here : even legal stores are breaking the rules

I am also in the Netherlands and I just got a message that my pre-order is in. I think I will pick it up tomorrow, it's a shame I can't install it already.

How is selling a game before the official release date anywhere near comparable to piracy?

Actually I made this thread for people who were making replies everywhere that its weird u can buy the game earlier....

So I told them now that you can buy it earlier...but it wont let u play the game ;/

I'm from Germany but got my game today from the Netherlands (Enschede) as I go to university there, and I wanted the English game - not the German crap. (which is all you find on amazon.de, really)
And yes, the OP is right, you cannot even install that game yet~

On the first try to install it it asks for the Serial, then confirms it, then says "This game cannot be installed"~
if you try again it will error out at the serial saying that it's already registered and you need to access it via your Library.

I've never really used steam before and, like, if you cannot start the setup from the DVD because it won't let you get past the serial-check if you already tried to install it once...
how will you install it on 11.11.11? I mean, I saw no option to "install" the game within the library~

MAny dutch shops started selling it, mypreorder will arrive tomorrow in the mail, i got the xbox version so ill be playing it

It's not, but it does indeed help pirates. Selling the game before the official release was the reason because FO:NV was pirated before day one.
