It's brilliant.

But why would you get a game if you knew nothing about it....

You bought a gaming laptop to play a game that was released 10 years ago?

Go buy Skyrim for it.

So you bought a gaming laptop, but don't have money for games, so you bought Diablo II because you heard it was good, but had to ask here if it was any good before you played it just to be sure.

I guess it makes sense.

Pretty much. Diablo II is an awesome game. And the good thing about it being out for ten years is that it's been patched and refined the entire time -- you'll not see a single bug or run into a balance issue at all.

It's a really fun game, bit repetitive but addictive as well. After you beat the initial game, make sure you get the mod called Median for it, it makes it a lot more fun.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

You should also get Warcraft 3 if your into strategy games, and Starcraft... and Morrowind of course.

*pulls out his dinosaur hunting rifle as he takes out some bait* No matter what anyone tells you however, do not get the first two Fallout games unless you really like slow turned based combat. You will get bored to death. *raises rifle as he waits for the dinosaurs to charge forth*

You don't need a gaming laptop for Diablo 2. :ermm: But why are you asking about the game? You should be playing it right now. Also, be aware that there are a whole bunch of spam bots (sadly), so it's probably best to make it so that only players around your level can join your game (if you make one).

Its a a lot of fun - I played it daily for about a year and a half. That was back in 2002 on a really crappy PC - but the games graphics are so basic you don't need much to run it.

Diablo 2 is fun, that was my introduction to RPGs in the early 2000s.

But if you've played any of the elder scrolls, you'll see that it is very shallow in story content and lore, and is more of a click-fest. I don't enjoy the multiplayer component of it as that is just full of power levelers or gold farmers. I play single player only. But it is gobs of fun nevertheless.

Once you play it "vanilla", check ut some mods for it like Eastern Sun. But play vanilla first.

It is quite addictive. However, unlike my fellow forum members I couldn't stand it after Act I. The game felt more of a chore as it progressed.

The Forgotten Tower of Act I is one of my favorite places in the game because of its atmosphere, but I felt the rest of the Acts were also well done. The final areas of Kurast and the fight with Mehpisto were also awesome. As were the seven tombs near the end of Act II.

Nothing beats multi-player Diablo 2 in its prime. Taking on hordes of pus filled demons and skeletons with 7 other players blasting away and fighting to the death.
