Just hit 6mb on my save file...

Alright, so I have a save file that has just reached 40 hours and 6mb. For the entirety of those 40 hours, I have had practically no texture problems, no severe framerate issues, and no major bugs.

Now that I just hit 6mb, everything seems to be going haywire. The framerate is not stuttering but whenever I'm indoors (Yes, INdoors, not outdoors) the framerate starts to lag and it feels like I'm playing Killzone 2. It doesn't really present itself visually. But you can feel it in the controls. It feels like input lag. Also when I got out of a dungeon, certain textures in the world were not loaded correctly. One example is the spaces in between the hay on the roof of some farms. They were glowing bright yellow. ALSO, a lot of textures are low res that weren't before like dressers, cabinets, etc.

So, I just went out and bought another game to tide me over, and I'm hoping that the first patch coming soon fixes the major problems. If not, then I think the best course of action would be to take pictures and videos of the problems encountered and post them here so that Bethesda can see exactly what is going wrong, and I would encourage everyone else with these issues to do the same. We can whine all we want but unless we actually show Bethesda the issues, they may never get resolved.

hmm. Have you tried creating a new save? seems like an obvious solution....

Bethesda knows of the problem, they just won't fix it, because they got away with it for Fallout 3.

You mean restarting my game?

Or just make a new save in the same game?

Cause there's no way I'm gonna get rid of the 40 hours I spent on Skyrim, and saving in the same game won't do anything because the save file will still be over 6mb. I saved last night and when I got back on the issues were still there aside from the world loading wrong. Textures were still not as good as they are supposed to be and the indoors were still laggy.

Not to be overly negative but guys...be realistic.

I did not buy this one, like I did not buy New Vegas. I knew, from the Fallout 3 abomination, that they were going to yet again pull a stunt like this.

They are not going to fix this game in such a way as to make it playable...plain and simple. Move on please...for God's sake!

I love comments like: "I will be returning this...and then I'll buy it in few months when it will be hopefully fixed"

I repeat...this game is not going to be fixed.

Lol I cannot believe that people are still buying their games...

That's crazy, I am just a little past where you are in save file size and hours and still smooth for me. Only thing I can think of is I have always been the type to sell everything other than what I need so I keep no clutter in my inventory. I just pray mine stays good until the fix comes out.
