Well We are both Dumner and guess who was the only person to show up at my wedding... that stone fist guy from windhelm who hates Dumner... I mean i've done many quests but he's the only guy to show up...

and I asked her to follow me, we go into battle and she pulls out a bow! I'm really confused by her... is she really bugged?

So that guy comes to a wedding of Dark Elves? Some Mage followers do pull out bows. Since they're wern't any enemies, she won't use magic.

I'm pretty sure I beat the crap out of that guy in Windhelm. I guess he learned his lesson.

lol yup, It would have been funnier if there were more dark elves there but no only him... guess he learned his leason after I kicked the snot out of him in front of the dark quarter

He's not racist at heart I guess, just trying to keep up an image! Lol.
The bow thing is really common, though. For some reason all followers have a hidden hunting bow in their inventory and they will randomly switch to using it, even if they have the highest tier weapon at their disposal. It affects all of them, despite their class.

My follower is J'zargo and he always has a sword out, but when enemies come out, he switches to sparks/lighting. I was a bit confused with this at first. Go fight some bandits or something and see if she still ues the bow, if so, she's probably glitched.

Easy fix = give them a better bow so when they do the switch, they use that one. Its meant so that if a character is facing a dragon they can help when its flying
