Just picked up Skyrim for my new laptop. Advice and tips ple

As the title suggests, I have just purchased Skyrim for my new laptop. This is also my very first experience with PC Gaming.

I'm quite amazed that the graphics are far superior to my PS3 version on high settings, and also a little annoyed that I should have got a decent rig sooner to run Skyrim as my two characters on the PS3 will be left out from now on :(

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had advice on PC gaming for the first time (mouse and keyboard feels horrible for controls). And maybe point me in the direction of some sweet mods, nothing too extreme as obviously I'm in the low levels and I don't want to be using OP weapons/armour in the first 5 minutes of playing -_-
I've noticed from a few screenshots that people have a mod installed that makes scenery further away slightly blurred. This looks awesome. Where is it?

Cheers.

Try using the stuff from Opticshooter. Also, Real Wildlife. Both are great starters. You will obviously need the Unofficial Skyrim Patch. Opticshooter's work tends to be very low stress stuff for laptops. If you want to bother with body mods, just use XCE if you want very close to vanilla. XCE gets rid of blocky faces. Real Wildlife just adds diversity to the wildlife and makes everything more fun while also more realistic. It doesn't sacrifice fun. You can also use the PS3 controller, just download a program called Motioninjoy. It's really easy to setup and get started up. Have the PS3 controller emulate a 360 controller.

The mod you are curious about is probably called http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12525 I tried it out, but hated it. It puts too much stress on my computer. It does allow for in-game control of it, though. This is a good thing.

You might want to get Immersive Armors, as well. The weapon and armor pack just has lore friendly stuff. It's very well made, too.

Hope this is helpful!

Lets be honest he's going to download all the mods that give women better bodies and prettier faces first. :)
