Just saw the Dragonborn trailer - I haven't been this excite

Post » Tue Nov 06, 2012 6:51 pm

What is with you people? Go be a wet blanket somewhere else. Stop nitpicking at every little detail. You are only spoiling a great experience for yourself. Enjoy the game - or don't. Just stop your whining.
WTF?

:P I do actually mean I love how the trailer was put together with the reveal of the Dragon Priest. The same shot was used in the original trailer with the player character, and I thought it was clever. (I get to make trivial comments about obscure cinematic details because I'm a film producer /raspberry).

I am very happy to be going back to Solstheim. My Morrowind character is living there now and I love the place. Morrowind is the best gaming experience I've ever had, and since Skyrim is also one of my favourite games I'm pretty happy just in general. :P

There is still time. I am considering loading up a game myself and revisiting it just to have it fresher in my memory to compare with.
You should also consider reading the Greg Keyes books, especially Lord of Souls.

Yeah I loved that too, in the original trailer you absorb one dragon soul and think you're a boss...this dude comes along and absorbs 3....Problem?. I'm extremely glad I decided to try out skyrim, I'm loving TES stuff so far, even small things like this just make it so much more enjoyable.

Sorry, I guess it is easy to draw conclusions around here. I mistook your comment for a complaint.

And yes, Morrowind is an experience that may never have an equal for me. It was the first time I felt a video game was actually exploring a world.

Brings up the question...

Who will be the "last" Dragonborn?
The prophecy did mention there will be a "last" dragonborn.

I would love to be excited for this DLC, but unfortunately I'm kinda broke right now. Probably won't be until January that I get this. 1 month exclusivity doesn't count for jack when you don't have any money.

Would you be able to explain why Hearthfire had 1 month exclusivity then? If that wasn't part of their deal then why did this happen? You do realize that if this was Xbox exclusive, the whole December, aka a month of holidays are out the window for anyone not on a Xbox. Also frankly I don't feel sorry for console users, PC ftw and it's the only thing I care about.
that's because you have a mushroom sized ****! Pc noobs consoles always FTW! Keep your crap mods that ALWAYS screw something up. Xbox exclusive for TWO months I say!

Did you see the Dunmer ancestral tombs? The Vvaardenfell-esque mushroom trees and surroundings? This is incredible!

You rule, Bethesda! Please keep amazing DLC like this coming for a while to come!

And we saw the Dragonborn growing his verry own Telvani tower !!! :bunny:

I also noticed some crabshell redoran architecture near that imperial fort.
So all of Morrowind wasn't lost after all

More important: we get an adversary our size !

I would be a lot more excited if I had word of PC release.

My bet is PC get it first. The console are stretched thin to run what they already got

Only thing that's weird, none of this touch the empire or the aldmeri dominion.
So I'm guessing more DLC are coming up latter
Also doesn't seem to touch on the Dunmer-Argonian war

It has actually only been officially announced for the 360 so far. No word yet on PC or PS3 release. So it looks like xbox gets it first again.

I use the xbox, but timed exclusives bug me. Everyone paid the same amount of money to support Bethesda's game. They should not give us 360 owners preferential treatment.

Microsoft paid them. Thanks Mic.

On topic: I feel the time between now and the release date is going to... drag on.

See what I did there?

In my excitement for this, I will probably watch the trailer at least a dozen more times but I'm also going to be splitting my time between the forums and my next Skyrim playthrough as well.

Never bothered to get Hearthfire, so I might try that out as well.. although I don't really need that one being that I'm on PC.

Hell yeah I am excited. The Dawnguard DLC was pretty damn cool, some awesome 'wow' moments (I mean it) and of course Serana.

This one looks so much better, judging from the trailer. I'm itching to finally see Solsteim, I played Morrowind GOTY but unfortunately could never get Bloodmoon installed (kept getting 'snowflake' error messages :()

Do you have to be dragonborn in order to take part in this content? If so, I will not be downloading it since none of my characters are dragonborn.

Such a shame too, It looks like good content. I just wish the game wouldn't force storyline on you as much as it does.

We dont know. Dawnguard does not need you to even start the Main Quest to play it. (I Use a mod to avoid start the MQ till I want to) so I presume that most of the content will be playable without being dragon born. BUT the main quest of the DLC seems to circle around the first dragon born, so, it may be not playable, at last THAT quest. But Im sure you will be able to travel to the island and do the side quests or wathever there is.
