I haven't seen a breath meter either. maybe purposely, maybe accidental but i do hope it was accidental and they it gets fixed in the next patch.

They deliberately got rid of it. They did not, however, get rid of drowning. You just have to guess when you'll run out of breath.

You'll hear you character start to gag when he's about to drown... You never know EXACTLY when your going to run out of air.

That's more realistic, so it's a good thing it's gone.

No but I can feel when I need to come up for air, unfortunately Video games cant acurately imitate that sensation so they had to improvise and provide a visual representation to help the player gauge when their character needs to come up for air.

Exactly. Breath meter is essential, nothing to do with realism.

You do realize that this game, and how great is this: Supports SOUND :celebration: :celebration: You can hear it when he starts gasping for air.

Yeah, but before that you have no idea how much longer you can stay under, which would determine whether you are able to dive to a location that would take longer to return from. By the time you hear the audio cue you could be too deep to resurface in time.

That is a new way to handle it but how effective is it? How long from the gasping or gulping sound do you have till you start losing health?

I was fishing salmon when my cue came. Hand-fished a few more, then went up all in good time. Don't worry guys :) You'll handle it. You'll know!

Well that's good to know. As long as there's enough time from the beginning of the gasping until losing health.

Hmm just tested it then and for some reason as soon as I hear the "gulp" my character starts losing health, there is no warning, no nothing, just gulp and the health meter starts to drop, am I doing something wrong?

I just hear him gasping for air when I get out. I'm going to just save, sit underwater and see if I die.

Lol simply time yourself.

Go underwater count how many seconds past before yo character starts gasping for air.
You will then [know] exactly how long yo character can stay under water.

Best part about this is u will not need to depend on the game to know how long you can hold yo breath.

From that point foward simply start counting when you go deep sea diving :)

Btw i don't have the game feel free to tell me the magic number or i will just find out tonight when i get the game :]
