Just my thoughts ...

After watching countless amounts of youtube videos, reading comment, reading up on reviews on all these different mmo's, i came to the conclusion that gamers really don't know wtf they want. I have seen so many [censored] and complain about a feature that was not in the game, then they get it, but then they still flock to another game. It's like people no longer have any patience. A successful mmo has gone through a ton of patches for its game to get to where it's at today but for some reason that is oblivious to most, even the best don't get it right the first time. I admit i am guilty, because i read what some butt hurt inexperienced pre-teen wrote on forums about what he/she didn't like about a game influence my decisions as well, and i to was one of those that just kept jumping from game to game. I think a part of it has to do with all the games coming out, [censored] is crazy. Back then when i asked someone what they're playing, at most 1-2 games which one was their main and the other was their "maintenance game". That recent game that came out had so much hype and i mean people were so excited for it, some game reviews gave it a high score/rating and the same people that talked my ear off about how good it is are not even playing it now, or playing very little of it. It just svcks seeing how fast the luster goes away quick in mmos nowadays. So many different reasons i can think of whether it was the story, gameplay, graphics, character movement, combat fluency, glitches, bugs, horrible customer service or the game developers ignoring their player base. So ESO gods, you have a rich story/lore, you got the fans, just overwhelm us with variety and content and you will dominate.
