How do I shut down the power on Kaldwin's Bridge?

I got Sokolov and I've been running around like a headless chicken for half an hour.

There are two whale oil cannisters on the second/smaller part of the bridge (above the arc reactor in a metal cage). They power the lights. get rid of them
