Karthspire CTD

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 5:35 pm

Hiya, new here to these forums, but been hanging around for a while on Steam Forums.

I have a particular issue with CTDs when approaching the region of Karthspire. I've checked all the other threads on this matter, and I don't want to play around with cheat codes either.

More details on my problem found on steam forums: forums(.)steampowered(.)com/forums/showthread.php?t=2698749 (stupid forum rules disallow me to just give your URL -.-)

I thought that since this is the official Bethesda forums this problem could get a bit more publicity.

Welcome! Have a fishy stick!

ooh thank you! I have the following (as of writing):

Win 7 Ultimate x64
8GB DDR3 RAM
Skyrim installed to 300GB partition (174GB free)
MSI GTX 460
Intel i3-2100 Sandy Bridge (2nd GEN)- stock speed of 3.1 Ghz

(that said I highly doubt my specs are an issue- my GPU is still going strong!)

Also, I mentioned in my linked post on Steam Forums that I currently have NO mods installed (i.e. Vanilla Skyrim), and that my graphics drivers and windows updates are up to date.

Do you have the latest official patch? If so, give the http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1308295-steam-updates/page__view__findpost__p__20823591 a try if you havent.

Hmm I do appear to have the latest patch installed.

Suppose that now I have no mods to break I could give the beta patch a try...

UPDATE: Ran the beta client (nice touch with the horse fighting thing). Restored some of my older saves, then press F5 in-game to update my save files. Same problem. Still crashes -_-
