Khan academy

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 3:54 am

I’ve found myself stumbling through the gate of the http://www.khanacademy.org/ on many cold nights.

When the thirst grows old and the jitters sets in, I go there to get rejuvenated, get mended and win.

I love it here; so warm and welcoming, yet confusing if not daunting. Scents of countless fights lingers.

But it is hard to recognize hombres in the hazy halls, to get their names over the noise of focused fixation.

So I tread back home, finding them painting their leisure and hoping to find that glimmer of similarity in pleasure.

To see, in tales told, that we share the same waterhole.

Khan academy is an online site dedicated to learning. They have a lot of videos on math, biology chemistry etc. told in a way that makes it easy to understand and learning the same you would in school.

If you want to brush up on some of the old stuff or want to learn something new, I can really recommend it.

They have great videos on math, on limits to be precise. Helped me qite a bit. Should've used this for my chemistry class, too, but I forgot about this cool site.

Am actually in the process of dusting of my old chemistry knowledge. And bracing myself for a finance module at another collage later next month.

There's a link to it in the OP itself... if clicking a link to find out what something is is too difficult for you, maybe Khan Academy isn't for you.

This site looks great, and is probably interesting if you're any good at science. Ruling me out.
Shame there's no Philosophy on there, I could probably use some help with my degree right now. :(

I like the whole diagram thing it has going on, but it's not very well organized imho. It doesn't so much contain lessons as it has explanations.

Here's a short overview of http://j-u-i-c-e.hubpages.com/_esforum/hub/freeonlineeducation. Salman Khan is a pretty interesting guy. I've done a few dozen lessons. He's a really good teacher.
