Kilkreath Ruins Word not working.

After you finish the break of dawn quest you turn around and there is a word wall, it's not activating on ps3. Anyone else have this problem?

If you do Meridia's quest BEFORE you get the word, the wall doesn't activate. There's no fix AFAIK.

Would you mind explaining? Do you mean to say that one has to activate the wall first before finishing the quest?
I'm in the Kilkreath catacombs at the moment, just at the entrance.

Edit: Or are you referring to the Wall that's not in the temple, but just NE of her statue?
Thanks.

There is no wall in the Temple. I'm referring to the wall near the statue. If you don't grab the word first, you won't be able to get it. (I don't know if this is being fixed in the patch, sorry.)

What you need to do is go get that word BEFORE you're leveled far enough to have Meridia notice you (and hopefully before you find the Beacon elsewhere....) I think you have to be level 14 or 15 to get Meridia to talk to you. So go get the Kilkreath word before that.

And if you're not willing to go back to a save that far back (as you might not be, depending).... It's an Elemental Fury word, so maybe you wouldn't care. Depends on playstyle.

Got it to work. There is a fix up on UESP.

It's a little confusing but I got it to work. You go to the wall and auto save then fast travel somewhere then reload the auto saw from the wall and the word wall works. I had no faith in this solution but it does in fact work. It's the second word for the shout that makes faster weapon strikes.

Oh REALLY! That's GREAT.... I didn't realize anyone had figured out a fix, thanks for the info!

I know it was crazy I got it to work. Awesome though. Here's the UESP.

BUGS

XBOX 360, PS3 & PC: Game may not allow you to learn shout at Kilkreath Ruins. Loading a previous save will not fix this; there's the sound of learning a word, and it illuminates yet is never learned. A possible fix for this is to stand next to the wall and while the game is 'attempting' to let you learn the word of power, make the game auto-save (do this by waiting). Immediately after the game saves, quick travel to another location. When you arrive at the other location, re-load the auto-save that was created while next to the wall. A quicker and more reliable solution is to load the save file of another character and then reload the glitched one.
Learning another Word of Power outdoors may complete the bugged Miscellaneous mission to learn the Kilkreath Ruins word, after which you can revisit Kilkreath Ruins to learn "Air". On PS3 this happened by learning "Life" at Northwind Summit; on the other hand, learning the Word at Dead Crone Rock (and several others) did not help at all.
The bug for ps3 also works if you save the game at "create new data" and then load a previous save. (not auto save) And then load the auto save at the shoutwall.

Spoiler
I got the word wall, Vokun and Meridia's beacon from that quest, so maybe it has to be a combination? I'm not sure in any case.
