To kill or not to kill?

I'm on my first play through of NV, and have come to something of a moral impasse. Do I kill House, or let him live?

On the one hand, he's the :spotted owl: who got me in this mess in the first place. I am motivated solely by revenge - I want to blast Benny's head 20 feet from his body. But where does House fall on the scale?

On the other hand, House was responsible for Victor pulling me back from the dead.

I don't know if killing House and taking over New Vegas would make me just as bad as the rest of the mongrels scrapping over the desert. After all, House isn't out for absolute power in the way Benny, the NCR or Legion are. He uses people as pawns, but in New Vegas that's really a lesser crime.

What did you do at this point? Kill him and take over? Let him live? How did you justify your actions?

Live and let live. What he's done right outweighs what he's done wrong and it doesn't have a massive effect on the game, although it probably will cause future problems.

If it's your first run thought I would go with the flow, on my first run thoughts I let things run it's course because I want to full experience. THEN I do the missions on how I plan them out etc etc. It's what I do. :P

correction, all house did was to hire your employer. it was benny who shot you. so from your ethical viewpoint, don't kill house unless you have to to win the game.

i haven't killed house yet but i intend to this play through. why, because killing is such a fun thing to do.

I have a ton of good reasons to side with house, but the topic has been rehased ad nauseam (thats latin for "till the point of nausea") . Want some good reasons try looking round the forum or click my name and find them.
