Okay. Today on my Xbox 360 version of Skyrim, I decided to go visit Delphine and Esbern to have some target practicing with my Crossbow, and to mess around really.. Anyways, I was shooting Delphine, who actually didn't did anything due to giving time in between shots... Well.. I eventually knocked her down onto her knees, which was to be expected. I decided to shoot her one more time and what surprised me is.. I did a ranged killcam on her and well.. Dead. After killing her and basicly staring at the body joy (I'm a Paarthurnax supporter) I decided to see if Esbern was killable. Went outside, found him training then slaughtered him quickly, which made me even happier.. Decided to dump his body in the river nearby..

So.. Do you think this was actually introduced or some sort of glitch, or what?

Perhaps finally they are allowing you to side with Paarthanax rather than having an everlasting quest in you quest log if you don't wanna kill him.

Pls god make this part of the dlc!

I'm planning to reload a prev save and see if I can kill them again.. And maybe make a video of many different ways of killing them? XD

Umm... the "Parthurnaax" quest automatically disappears from your log if you simply continue on with the main quest, you know.

its stuck on mine and I've been to sovngarde and killed Alduin.

Blades told me "he deserves to die" and won't let me continue their quests which I'm told is just to recruit random followers for the Blades.

Parthurnaax is too cool of a dragon to kill just so the Blades can recruit. =/

Likewise on the quest entry, and I agree, Parthurnaax is way too cool to slaughter; he's honest about himself and his desires. Wish I could say the same about certain others, such as that skeever Maven in Riften, amongst others.

I can't stand delphine but esbern is ok. So i guess ill go pay them a visit the next time i play skyrim.

Please let us know if this was a one-off, or if it is repeatable. I was considering going to Skyhaven and Fus-Roh-Dahing their butts off the side of the mountain just for giggles, but decided I didn't need the bounty. If I can actually kill them, then wow, Skydiving they go!

Edit: I forgot I was doing the last part of the dawnguard quest. So I'm stuck in forgotten val (the cave part) for a bit. So it will be awhile.

Edit 2: This is taking longer than I thought Ill most likely have the answer for all of you hopefully soon or someone else tries before me.

Go talk to Angeir and tell him you won't kill Paarthurnax (you may have to first tell him the Blades want you to kill him; I don't remember). That makes the quest silently disappear.

i keep having a glitch where all of riverwood wants to kill me for no reason. I get worried that I might make some borken quests by trying to live.

I have attacked and tried to attack delphine 7 times already all that happens is that she just gets on her knees. Then after you keep attacking her nothing. She eventually just gets back up. So im just going to say this is a glitch. I also did some other research online. I have been to youtube, a lot of gameboards, and the 2 wiki's. I have only come across 2 things 1. Someone on youtube says you can kill them after you finish the main quest but the guy admitted in the video he me made that he used console commands. 2. I found a gameboard and someone posted that esbern and delphine got killed by the forsworn along the way to sky haven temple. Then thats it everything else I found was about using console commands to kill them or people saying that they wished you could kill them.

So since I have tried 7 times already and nothing it's most likely just a glitch.


Edit: JVR it does relate to the post because if delphine was made killable it would render the main quest broken and would never be able to be finished.

Nuts, I had real hope it could be done.

Delphine is in riverwood, and according to the OP she is now killable. That may break my main questline.

Your welcome Also I have been wrong before on other forums about information. So this could still be debatable even though I researched all the stuff and tried it myself.

Edit: the times I was wrong on the other forums I didn't do research or try it myself. I just assumed I was right but I make sure i have at least done research or tried to do it myself before I post findings and whatnot now.

I tried to kill them both after the main story line and Dawnguard were completed... they didn't die. And my quest log still says kill Paarthurnax. but I haven't spoken to the grey beards about it though... I'm on the PC
