Knifepoint Ridge Bug

*QUEST SPOILERS BELOW*

Hello,

I've just recently completed Boethiah's Calling which instructs the player to go to Knifepoint Ridge and kill all of it's occupants stealthily. I noticed, in my Miscellaneous Quests list, that I also had a quest titled Kill the leader of Knifepiont Ridge so I made both my active quest in the thought to get two quests out of the way at the same time. The Boethiah's Calling quest has each target within Knifepoint Ridge marked as an individual marker to be tracked for, assumingly, progress on killing everyone stealthily. I was stealthed and killed the first bandit with an arrow and then moved on. I thought it was weird that a marker remained present above where the first bandit was standing. I proceeded to clear the Ridge and went back to the shrine to complet Boethiah's Calling. I successfully completed that chain and went back to my Miscellaneous Quests to see where to get my reward for killing the leader. To my suprise, the quest remained active and did not show any progress. At that moment I went back to Knifepoint Ridge and noticed the marker for killing the leader was indeed floating above where the first bandit was and there wasn't anything respawned or present in the interior to trigger the quests completion.

While I have not done extensive tests as I was quite a bit past the time of the bug occurring and the time I realized it to be true - I assume the cause is that the target, in this case the bandit, was being tracked by both a main quest and a miscellaneous quest. The main quest reward was culminative on all of the individuals in the interior being defeated and triggered properly while the action to trigger the miscellaneous quest was singular in nature to the first target and did not. Again, to ensure I made myself clear, both quests were active and the Miscellaneous category was also active during this time.

I'll also provide a few other details that seem unrelated but could be useful to resolve the issue...
  • My first arrow shot was too high so he did start moving but I wasn't yet detected (barely open eye) and I hit him with the second arrow.
  • The weapon used was the Elven Bow of the Inferno (Legendary), which has the enchantment of "Burns the target for 30 points. Targets on fire take extra damage.".
  • He died in one shot and there was a charge on the bow when it was fired. No poison or buff to bow damage was applied at the time.
  • I was crouched and stealthed during the attack, where I fired from the upper area of the hallway leading to the room that the bandit resided in but slightly out of site, using the left wall face to pop out and make my shot.
  • I have 62 points into Archery with one point in Overdraw, one point in Critical Shot, one point in Steady Hand, one point in Eagle Eye and one point in Power Shot.
  • I was level 43 at the time of the quest(s) and am a Nord class equipped with full Nightingale Armor that is fully upgraded at the work bench.
  • I did NOT kill anyone outside of the interior stealthily, if that matters.
  • The weapon that was used to kill the bandit was a favorited weapon, equipped in the left slot.
  • I mined every ore section in the interior (I know, we are getting into irrelevant areas but just thought I'd mention :P).
  • I looted the bandit after killing him and took everything besides his weapon, an Iron Sword.
  • The bandit corpse was not present when I returned to the interior.
  • I am not sure how long I've had the Miscellaneous Quest to kill the leader but as it isn't in recent memory I can assume it's been multiple days in game - probably over 20-25 hours of gameplay between acquiring the quest and attempting to complete it.

I will keep the saves before the quest was complete in the event you would like me to try to do the Miscellaneous quest without having Boethiah's Calling selected (I can go back to before I had Boethaih's Calling as a quest as well) or any other variations. It's rather minor as there are hundreds of Miscellaneous quests and I've completed all of them up until this point. As this was my first quest "breaker" I thought I'd try to report it in as much detail as possible since it's been flawless up until this point. I'm not bummed either - as it's not a side quest and the reward would be nominal - but some people might be upset that they get into a state where, when doing what seems logical in that of combining two location based quests to do them at the same time, they get into a bad state.

Thanks!
