Knight Paladin Gelebor

Post » Wed Nov 21, 2012 4:23 am

Right after I killed that Gelebor's brother, I went back and talked to him, and explained how his brother was never corrupted and that it was him who controlled the betrayed/Falmers. Right after that, the Paladin said that he was happy deep inside because some day the betrayed might find salvation and believe in Auriel again. That dialogue kind of hit me cause I'm quite religious and I thought that it was a nice touch from Beth

Good work guys.

I hope those falmor guys will get to their sences sooner or later in this game.
Or even more: that the Dovakhiin might recruited them into following the good side again.

I really liked Gelebor as a character. He looked great, the voice acting was great, and I have a great deal of sympathy for him as the last of his race, a race of people persecuted and exterminated by my own player race.

At the end he mentioned that he hopes there are enclaves of other snow elves in hiding out there, and I really hope there are. I would love it if I could find some and go and tell him about them, that he's not alone.

I really enjoyed the whole epic tale of The Snow Prince, and about how the Nords honored him after his death etc.
Agreed - the Knight Paladin guy was great. Really well done.
Good writing, acting, and storyline!
I found the whole Dawnguard fantastic; it was epic.
Almost forgot - the four Falmer books, sold to the Librarian Orc guy in Winterhold, then translated by Calcelmo of Markarth...
They were quite touching in their own way (though brief).
They tell the story of the poor Snow Elves in the immediate aftermath of the shocking death of their Snow Prince.
But the Falmer!?
Sorry - there's no undoing that.
They're just not shy enough to be spared, unfortunately...

The Falmer....they scare me....

They remind of those mutated disgusting creepy blind...things...from the movie "The Descent".

Now, anytime I go into a cave that involves them, my heart actually starts to race and I turn the brightness up on the game all the way so I can see everything very clearly. Yeah....they scare me that bad....

The Falmer (Snow Elves) were persecuted and exterminated by the Nedes/Nords because the Falmer did it to them during the "Night of Tears" when they razed Saarthal. Only Ysgramor and his sons escaped Saarthal back to Atmora, where he gathered his "500 Companions", came back to Tamriel and butchered the Falmer in retaliation.
The Nords have a pretty solid track record of wiping out any Mer that [censored] with them. They also wiped out the Ayleids when they assisted the Ayleid's slaves (Imperials) in rebelling. The Altmer better watch out, seeing as how the Thalmor didn't learn the history lesson and are making the mistake of pissing off the Nords.

I really like his title. Knight-Paladin... Has a nice ring to it.

Haha!
This is So Unbelievably True.
Hopefully, we'll get to Experience their Defeat...

Reading the Songs of The Return lends evidence that Ysgramor may have been Dragonborn, the way it goes on about him shouting.

If he is, then he joins a long line of Dragonborn who have a track record of causing haughty elves no end of grief: Wulfharth, Reman, Alessia, Tiber.... You.
