Lack of choice and customization

(sorry if this topic has been made before but I dont feel like digging through a hundreds pages to find it) First i will start with I love the elder scrolls games, I first started with morrowind for the xbox all the way to skyrim for the 360 with all dlc for each game. They are my favs series along with the mass effect games. However I know hearthfire is just extra content so that you can have some peace in skyrim but I was expecting a bit more of choice and customization. These are my top 2 reason I was a bit dissapointed, along with some of my friends:

-I was hoping that the game will let you choose where you wanted to build your home, I saw that before you choose 1 of the three land plots there are tree barches, rocks, etc where you will have your home but the game clears that for you. So why couldnt they programmed it so that you could choose where to build your home anywhere in skyrim as long as there was enough space, yeah maybe it would have take longer to release the dlc but so what, it would have been worth it seeing how many beautiful places there is in skyrim.

-You cant have your own kids, I mean I dont have anything against adoption to be honest at all but the lack of having your own kids especially with the lack of..closure with your wife after the weeding is quite dissapointing, there is no romantic interaction of any sort in any way that i have seen. unless you have the game in pc then you can have mods (yeah, I see your grin...bast..lol) anyways I know this isnt the sims, etc so dont lecture me about it but look at fallout:new vegas they didnt do good either even though it was develop by obsidian but they at least added some well advlt...noises yet they lacked to build something more with the content.

I am just saying this so that in future games, the team can improve the games in this field. Lot of people like a bit of romance or a bit of naughtiness in their adventure games though for those who dont agree, they can make it completely optional, meaning unless your looking for romance and such you wont have nobody following you, depending on you, etc.

what do you guys think about those two things? I want to hear other opinions.
