Lag issues due to computer specs possibly

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 8:04 pm

Hello everyone and thank you in advance for any help at all. I just bought and downloaded Skyrim and pulled it up and even on the lowest settings I am experiencing very low frame rates to the point i cant play the game smoothly at all. Its quite possibly b/c my computer is to weak, my video card being to weak, or me just not being computer savvy enough, or the game just needing another patch as many of u are experiencing. Any advice if u guys can offer would be great. Heres my computer specs.

HP desktop model p6320y

8 gigs of ram
64 bit operating system
AMD Phenom ™ II x4 820 processor 2.80 ghz.
Nvidea gforce 9100 video card. (not that great, but still a video card nonetheless)

Anything else and ill provide just ask. Not sure what all you guys need to know. Thank you in advance once again for any constructive advice you might have and if you could help me get past this issue i would greatly appreciate (if possible).

Best wishes, Demetriel.

Depends on how much money you want to spend.

The Geforce 560 TI (make sure it's the TI version) is probably the best single card you can get right now*. Should be around $230 or so,

If you are on a budget you can get a Radeon HD 6770 or 6790 for about a hundred less.

*Best card before prices start inflating pointlessly, that is.
