Lakeview Manor, Armory Mannequin glitch. Help!

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 3:17 am

Hi everyone.

In the Hearthfire Armory, the mannequin to the right when you walk in is bugging out.

I originally put Imperial Armor, Bracers, Boots, and a Helmet on him. I later took it off and put Dwarven Armor and a Dwarven Helmet on him. When I go into the Cellar and then return upstairs, he's wearing the Dwarven Helmet, but all the rest of the Imperial gear again.

Is there any way to make sure the Dwarven Armor stays on?

Not sure, but I think all the Hearthfire mannequins are glitched in the same manner. Whatever the first set of armor is you put on them, they'll always respawn that armor. Can come in very handy, actually.

One of my characters has a couple dozen pieces of Ebony Mail, Ancient Falmer Armor, etc....

I have about 12 sets of steel armor and about the equal amount in forsworn due to Windstad mannequin glitch. I can remove a set, map into the celler and come back and find its back on there again. I had to dl a nexus mod to keep this from happening. I want to display armor for a reason... not to replicate it.

Well if you want to display armour and not replicate it, just leave the armor on the mannequin, then it will stop making new armour. There are enough mannequins you should not need to go trying to change the armour all the time anyway. Although I would think most of us were happy to get free armor making mannequins with the houses, especially as some of us missed out on the first lot. If you improve most armor it will not replicate it, they made it so you could still replicate the Ancient Falmer Armor, even if it was improved, you will just lose your improvements. Some armor like the Blades Armor it cannot replicate others I think it could not replicate were Guild Masters, Nightingale, shrouded armor (all of them I think) and Cicero's outfit. I never tried them all so there are probably a lot of others the mannequins will not duplicate even though they are not improved.

I never got it to do a daedric set, which was a bit of a disappointment, could have used a dozen or so of them.

It would not do that fancy imperial helmet either, or most enchanted things, did do the Gloves of the Pugilist and the Ebony Mail you get for one of the Daedric quests. Also did General Tullius' Armor, and Ulfrics attire, and that wedding outfit those that did the DB questline might have acquired.

well hearthfire is all about decoration of ones created home, I should be able to change the armor on the mannequins at will. I have in the armory, armor of all my character's conquests/accomplishments. For example on one side is Astrid's armor from when I killed her. On two that are side by side I have the wedding dress and wedding headress Salessi Darkwater wore when she married Farkas. on the mannequin next to that one is the royal robes he wore on that day. Since she is siding likely with the stormcloaks there is a full set of stormcloak gear on another mannequin. On the forth hangs her wolf armor from when she became a companion and harbinger. In the study upstairs I hung forsworn armor, felt like putting something on it and happened to have a set in my inventory. In the celler I hung the steel armor I took from Lydia when I put her in a crafted set of armor.

Well the celler mannequin keeps replicating that steel armor even when I try to hang something else on it. And the forsworn mannequin in the study no matter what I put on it keeps replacing it with forsworn armor though it leaves what I left there as unequipted.

Its rather annoying. Why should I need a mod to fix this?

You were happy with all the others because you put on there what you wanted rather than changing it. You do not need a mod to fix it, just keep putting different armour on it or put improved armor on it till it gets tired of replicating, then try putting on it what you want.

Now you want two of those wedding outfits (assuning they are not some PC modded thing but the original) you could just take it off the mannequin. Astrid's and the wolf armour will not replicate. Go improve the forsworn armor if you can (I was never that interested on forsworn armor), and give the mannequin the improved set.

On the one in my cellar at HH I did what you suggested before aussie, and it worked. I left the armor on the mannequin that I didn't want equipped anymore and eqipped other armor over it. I had to do it a couple times because the old boots would re-equip, but then it finally held. The vamp armor still shows if you click on it, but it isn't equipped. Thanks!

So you are saying unreplicable items, like thieves guild armor may be used to ''wash'' an armor manekin display. because it will stop the replicating bug ?
I did notice the thieves guild armor didn't get replicated.

Myself I used an hotfix mod to reset the armor, then went back to no mods
I don't change idea that often, but I came up with an housestyle idea

heljarchen (2 manikins) elven theme (elven/glass)
solitude (2 manikins) imperial theme
markath (1 manikin) dwemer theme
riften (2 manikin) thieves theme (thieves guild, nightingale)
windhelm (3 manikins) stormcloak theme
windstad (3 maniquins) maybe reserved for high end (dragon stuff and daedric)
lakeview (7 maniquins) mostly nordic heavy mix, but also ebony, orcish, forsworn

I got no space for my light armor sadly except scaled armor
so fur/hide/leather/vampire/dawnguard ... are just displayed on top of chests ...
It's a bit sad

I hope the dragonborn dlc got a massive jarl castle in it for the player
you know ... one of those 50 maniquins and 100 weponrack with 50 bookshelves ... kind of thing
where you can showcase every single city guard armor
