I had a vague idea for improving wards..so that instead of them breaking without any warning there's a bar similar to the weapon enchantment bar to the bottom right. Instead this bar is right over the ward that you create, and some how this can be scaled with novice wards to higher wards.

Just an idea, see if a modder is interested, more than likely not but I always have hope.
