Landscaping Plants

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 11:32 am

I had to flatten an area out in Tamriel and it caused plants to appear to float in the CK.

How can I fix this?

Also, how do I add/deleted those plants that are seemingly teraformed in place?

Can you provide a screenshot or at least more information? Plants are almost always under the tree category, meaning that you can simply click on them individually and delete them, or drag while holding the left mouse button to select them all. Grass is the only thing that conforms to the landscape. To add plants back after deletion, simply search through the World Objects/Tree category in the Object Window.

Another solution would be to select them all, then hit the F key to cause them to drop to the ground below. It may get a bit messed up, but it should cause most of them to end up where they should be.

If you mean floating grass, it's just a bug with the CK display.

What he means is,...if you lower the landscape in an area that has a base grass texture with 3D grass built into it, the base texture lowers, but the 3D grass remains at the original height ingame.

I think the only way that might solve it is to paint the identical texture without grass, over the affected area.

If the original texture was LFieldGrass01, you would use LFieldGrass01WithoutGrass. It may be the other way around ie. LFieldGrass01 doesn't have 3D grass. You can check by double clicking on each and see which one doesn't have the grass.

Like I stated, that's just a CK display bug. It's fine ingame.

It used to show ingame as well, maybe they've fixed it. If so, scrub that last post of mine :D
