Laptop Support for Crysis 2

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 6:48 pm

There was never any news relating to this, after two searches. So here it comes, for those who played Sims 3 - The game: was laptop friendly. You wouldn't notice any difference if you played it on a plain desktop or gaming laptop. The game's aim was for all to be enjoyed and experienced.

So here's the [Late little] question: Is there a possibility that Crysis 2 will be Laptop Friendly for some select Gaming Laptops ?

Laptops range from barely being able to run a word processor to being able to play Crysis at HD resolution on High. Those also range from $300 to $7000 :P

This basically comes down to system requirements, information which hasn't yet been released. See here: http://www.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=5154&p=88329&hilit=system#p88329

Cheers :)

I understand, Shin, what if that laptop had at least a GTX 480 - or - (in the near future) a GTX 580? And it priced around $3000.00, do you think it would have a chance to play Crysis 2 at least in Mainstream level of graphics?

In laptops the 4xx series is referred to the 3xxM series. :)

It will definitely play Crysis 2 just fine unless you have a CPU bottleneck holding it back.

Only wish they made a 5xx series version for gaming laptops before Crysis 2 releases.
It would be well worth the money.

Compared to what? :D

Gaming laptops cost at least 3-4 times more than their desktop counterparts! Just buy a desktop and netbook and you'll be far happier overall!

A netbook would give you more trouble than help and a desktop cant travel with you.

Not to mention overall, thanks to the confined spaces, laptop parts are more prone to failure... you just can't keep them things cool. :(

Desktop is the way to go. :D
