If I were to take a few steps forward from that point some of the world will appear again, is this an LOD issue perhaps?
This seems to be happening at several specific places in the ocean and shorelines around Skyrim.
Here's what I've tried so far: Deleted skyrim & skyrimprefs.ini files, defragged harddrive, made sure video drivers is up to date, uninstalled all mods, reinstalled skyrim, disabled dawnguard & hearthfire, made a new character.
Any suggestions? I'm using the latest 1.8 patch, running on Windows 7 Pro (64-bit).
