Does anyone leave quest lines unfinished for roleplaying purposed? I want to try to keep a neutral character, so I was thinking of not finishing the main quest (due to the choices you need to make in Season Unending). I also would like to join the Companions, but only complete the first quest (that way I'm a member, just not *SPOILER* the faction leader).

Without creating a great deal of spoilers to avoid this being moved to the spoiler section, anyone else do this sort of thing?

I had a werewolf character that I basically just traveled around and wasn't really a quest runner unless it helped me out, like the companions and the quest with the ring. Other than that most characters I have made RP the civil war n there somehow.

Im with Zombified on this. The addition to Dragonborn was beneficial enough to make my Assassin/Skirmisher(Heavily perk'd Light Armor and swords. a bit into shields) join The Companions

EDIT; Not that i meant to imply his point. But becoming a Werewolf is pretty useful, even later on

yep. although most times i may finish a quest in order to get towards other content but just ignore any lack of continuity in my rp as a result.

I can't leave things unfinished. It bugs me to no end

i can see how some people can be super strict about their rp's, but for me the whole point is in developing the story ive created in my head. so if finishing a quest that breaks continuity in order to acess content that provides me with the option to develop the rp in a direction i like. then of course i will do so.

As does it to me. Currently I have 8 Quests, and 30 misc and theyre still piling. Its driving me mad

[And to me the list of quests is never 'things I must get around to doing eventually', but rather 'some stuff certain folk would like me to do, and there is usually a chance I might actually get around to it some day, perhaps, maybe'.]

Nah, i gave up on rp a few months back.
