So... Left 4 Dead 3?

Post » Tue Jul 23, 2013 9:09 am

http://l4d3.ru/ I'm hoping for a trailer when the countdown finishes.

(apologies if there's already a thread on this, the search came up with nothing).

Thoughts! I would have preferred to see Half Life 3 of course, but I'm quite excited. Loved the first two games, I'm curious to see what new Infected this will have.

So we get a crappy L4D 3 but no HL3? Valve, you're dead to me.

So, the legendary number 3 does exist. Interesting.

A russian site, seems like a hoax to me.

I can't imagine the logic behind doing a L4D3 now, L4D2 has plenty of content (including everything from L4D1) and they just improved the mod support for it.

Yeah, why would valve host their site in Russia? Seems obviously fake.

Looks fake to me, but I don't know how Russia handles that information.

Yeah, unless it's for some viral marketing for a left 4 dead game taking place in Russia, it seems unlikely.

Even then, it's still unlikely as it's quite unusual for a company to use Whois privacy.

I don't believe the "2" curse will ever be broken.

Obviously fake. We all know Valve never stick to schedules.

Russia is a pretty massive country population wise, so it isn't neccesarrily impossible that they would have an advertising campaign based there.

Russia can access the web just like any other country, so I don't see why they'd need a '.ru' web address to advertise there, especially when everything is in English...

This feels like a hoax. Though I won't rule out Valve specifically making this to look like a hoax.

Looks like a hoax. If it is real though, and Valve releases L4D2 before the next Half Life game, I will fund genetic research, create real headcrabs, and drop one on Gabe's enormous head.
