While in both Oblivion and Fallout 3/New Vegas it didn't matter in which hand you held the weapon, Skyrim does not allow you to play a left-handed character. Shields are always automatically put on the left hand, and if you put the weapon in your left hand then the quick-selection buttons (the 1-8 keys) won't work as everytime you press that, the weapon gets switched to the right hand. Plus, finishing moves won't happen if you kep your weapon in the left hand.

As a mage-warrior, I want spells to automatically get selected in the right hand whenever i use a quick-selection button. I want the shield to be automatically in the right hand. And, if possible, I want finishing moves to happen even if I'm wielding a weapon with the left hand.

Can someone fix that now, or could someone fix that when Bethesda finally decides to release the CK?

being a leftie i agree i want to chop with my left and defend with my right, i keep trying to attack with my left -.- lol

I would like to see this... would be good if NPCs could be designated left or right handed too.

I'm right handed, but I still like being able to both block with right click and have the mouse buttons correspond with my character's hands.
