THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: BREATH OF THE HYPE

It's back! After over tenyears (shutup SKyward sword isn't a real game) Zelda is BACK!

The Master Sword is rusted so DOES THIS [censored] TAKE PLACE IN THE DEEP FUTURE?

My hype train level equates to five -- no, SIX -- no, SIXTY wolf links on screen right now!

"But what a mischievous thing to leave lying around... The Power Of Gold... HYPE."

"May the way of the Hype lead to the Triforce."

"Well, my mind is getting hazy... Please let me hear thehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G94G0Gxh1cU one last time."

"Hype Forest

(It's a little bit hype)"

"Link, do you always look into other people's hype?"

"I wish I could roll down the mountain like a rock, with a Bomb Flower and... HYYYYYYYYYYYPE! If I could do that with a Bomb Flower, I could become a real man."

Skyward Sword was a great game and a good Zelda game. I actually enjoyed it wii controls and all.

This new one is looking to be quite the departure though. I'm curious to see how they pull it off. I think the only thing they could actually do to make me dislike a Zelda game is to change the formula too much. But most of my enjoyment comes from the quaint charm it has to it so that gives quite a lot of wiggle room.

I just hope they have a hard mode option right out the gate.

"First, you need to rescue your old comrade, Malo, so that you can rebuild that monopoly of yours one more time. He's in Gerudo. I reckon you'll be making good use of that Eye of Truth. Gerudo is a big place... map out the region, so that you can plan and execute your tactics to whatever way best suits you."

*Skull Kid climbs onto his horse*

"Now go... and let the Legend of Zelda come back to life!

You know I'm 36 and never played a Zelda game? Not even the original for the old NES.

Seriously wasn't expecting any info on this. Thanks to hype, I'm thinking about pre-ordering it, but my advlt self is telling me to just wait. :P

The game looks pretty good though kind of like Wind Waker. Even though I prefer the Twilight princess look, it's no big deal. I'm curious to see how they'll handle the open world. If it's good, it'll be like a LOZ: Wild hunt kind of world. If it's bad it'll be like MGS V and it's horrible open world.

Idk, I'd rather they kind of did something more in the vein of Amalur. Segmented open world with large segments. It'd fit their style a lot more imo.

As for their artstyle, it definitely isn't Wind Waker. That is the most stylized they've gone. Nor is it as stylized as Skyward Sword. Seems like a cross between Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess in terms of stylization. I like it.

As long as the open world isn't focused on too much; dungeons are still what makes a good Zelda game in my opinion.

I've never even played Skyward sword.....should get around to that one day.....No wait, I did, just didn't remember it. Lol wow. Tadpoles.

And yea, Wind waker was way more cartoony than BOTW.

No clue on the Amalur open world though. As long as it's not MGS V's open world, it'll be fine with me. :P

I agree. Open worlds lose quality and focus. Even TW3 lost some of its storytelling focus and quality in its transition, although they've done the best open world storytelling I've seen.

Although, I never wanted an open world Zelda game, but I am curious to see how they will handle it. I haven't been disappointed yet but this is probably the biggest departure they've done from their core formula.

Lmao. Getting old and busy? :P

I like LOZ:BOW. Sounds like Lesbo and so many people got upset about the rumored female Link, who has been confirmed as false now, that it amuses me.

It is basically large areas with choke point entrances to new areas. So you can only enter an area through those choke points the first time you go through. Highly similar to how most Zelda games operated in their pseudo-open worlds.

This game looks fantastic!

It's weird seeing people on the interwebz saying "this looks nothing like a Zelda game."

It pretty much looks exactly like a Zelda game! Except now with more open-world aspects than ever before.

I think many past games have had open world aspects. The original game and Windwalker come to mind right away. But they keep it streamlined by limiting areas until you beat certain dungeons.

I think that aspect will still be here, while also allowing more freedom to explore than usual.

This game is going to be awesome! :spotted owl:

Agreed!

Aren't most of those people complaing about the pseudo-tech and artstyle?

Yeah, I guess I should have said I never wanted it to be MORE open world.

Huh. It pains me to say this but.....everything looks freaking awesome!

The only thing that kind of threw me off was the Voice. I'm not used to English VA's being in a Zelda game. :P

Other than that, damn, I'm glad I didn't get rid of my WII U. Day one buy for me.

Edit- Weapons can break?! Aw Yis, more reason to praise the Master sword.

There definitely is a high emphasis on item collecting in this game. I love everything Ive seen so far. The stamina, the sound guage, the temp guage, the degradable weapons, SPEARS!

Every open world game with spears just works.

It just.[censored].Works.

Customizing Link is another thing that's got me hype.

Dammit. I never asked for this, but man I'm too hype right now. lol
