Reviewing what has been talked about the new upcoming "New" Vegas
I began to think... So what am I buying that I do not already own?

The buggy E3 video (Can not get gear back from guards at door)
Shows a casino game based on a A) Stay , B) Hit system... for gambling.

Sure the graphics team built all new appreciated graphics..

But than they go to make some big deal out of C4 exploding by pickpocketing?

HELLO?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnL2-5jy0Oo

Did they even play fallout3??

Personally to save face... should call "New" Vegas actually a DLC and add a world door
to "New" Vega's world space.

Nothing has to be said more than what this interview of gamesas shows....
http://blip.tv/file/3993298
"Take what players made with mod's and release it as a new game"

Personally... I'll wait on Mass Effect 3...

Where the detail isn't only put on new graphics... but also game play.... <---

I think the programmers FELL ASLEEP. (Wait... They didn't even have really any new scripts... just copied the community)

Unless they have some big hidden feature... errm let me think
Building your own town? (O NO WAIT THAT WAS FALLOUT3 mod...)

That was original and not something I can download free

I'll pass the 60$ price tag...

Good luck with svckers ... errm customers gamesas!
=========

Closing note for devoted fan's that will flame this...

I love star trek... Heck I bought couple of games about star trek... but guess what?
Just cause it was produce by a company that ya like other games by...
Or that you like star trek...

DOES NOT MEAN ITS A QUALITY PRODUCT!
This is Quantity not Quality.

If you really are a fallout devoted fan this should outrage you...
Fallout3 was known for pushing the bounds... not copy + paste.. slap new story on it and sell it.

PS: Hate to burst Bethesda's bubble but NW2 was a FLOP... nothing compared to NW1... which can be seen
by comparing player bases.

So what's ME3 going to have that the first two didn't?

You mean besides every action you did in the previous two games carrying over to the ME3?

You mean besides life like NPC's?

You mean besides STUNNING GRAPHICS....

You mean besides O I don't know... Ground breaking game features never seen before...

Hmmm... Dunno Not even close to release like Vegas is ... in 3 weeks

*yawn* you done doing shallow, uninventing connection in a desperate attempt to gain internet approval?

or perhaps your warming up for the classic "I can do a better game" routine too?

Medal of honors multiplayer looks exactly the same as bad company 2.
Left 4 dead 2 was as Left 4 dead except for new weapons and daylight.
Modern warfare 2 was the same except for new weapons.
Mass effect had 3 years but fallout new vegas had 2... (jk that's not really an excuse xD)

But yes, I do think Fallout new vegas hasn't added "new" things but it's understandable. Looking at all the games today, it's basically cut and paste now give me your 60 bux..

The one thing I have a grudge against is that Fallout new vegas uses the exact same textures for most of their stuff . It's quite a bummer since most new games create new ones.

Anyhow, the new story and rp elements should make up for it.

Watch your mouth :flame: :nono:
You might start a great fire in this thread!
Making a game like that is not EASY!
Try making it alone! CAN YOU DO THAT?!

(Whoops! I'm fallen into this flamer trap! :P )

Yes, try to do that alone, you'll see :P
If you're bored, just tell gamesas that you will work for them to make a new fallout sequel! You can make a game that suits your delights.... if you managed to convince them.... :P
Good luck! May this ship sink sunk in the middle of nowhere! :D

Really? I thought Fallout 3s gameplay was pretty much just copypaste from TES4, with new setting and some tweaks to make guns feel a bit more like guns instead of spells. :P Where were the bounds being pushed?

I am bit on the same line with you on that the there should've been much bigger changes all over the general design - gameplay and features (though, with the time Obsidian was given, I doubt crafting a game from scratch would've resulted in a polished product).

But anyway, the point of New Vegas is much the same as that of GTA: Vice City - a new game in the same setting, with new area and stories. Not much changed from GTA3, generally speaking. And onwards to San Andreas and GTA 4. A new game set in the same gameworld with some tweaks. All good games imrpoving from the previous ones with the same general design (although VC is still the best GTA game there is).

Would you rather they didn't put all the new stuff, like weapon mods, in? Just because someone has modded them in Fallout 3?

Ground breaking game features never seen before...

Doesn't sound like Mass Effect to me. :P

Not in the slighest... And actually don't blame them from taking ideas from the community... communities can really do impressive stuff...

But this isn't a Fallout 4.... this is a DLC pack that price tag should be 10$....

I thought Fallout 3s gameplay was pretty much just copypaste from TES4

I was being generous... but there is a difference of Oblivion and Fallout 3 and Morrowind.
(which Ironically I bought all 3 brand new)

But .... this is little to much to swallow personally...

... I even bought the entire nwn 1 expansion packs... 40$ a pop... but they didn't include just a new story... they included engine overhauls scripting capabilities and features.

But I like fallout 3 but found I had explored everything there was to explore, seen everything there was to see. I don't mind very similar gameplay if I'm giving new characters, locations and stories to have fun with.

This never was supposed to be Fallout 4. Just a new game in the setting. A spinoff, if you wish.

And about the GTA reference I made... Are all the GTA games after 3 but before 4, just 10 buck DLCs?

It has slightly better graphics, and it builds some new features. Those don't matter. What does matter is that it will have a lot of quests, a large, distinctly different worldmap, and a lot of character interaction.

You seem to think its rare for developers take on community ideas and apply them as official content within new releases.

Well I thought the graphics were new but apparently as said in this thread they are not...

For the rest of that.... they say world size same...
And length of game play same...

Dunno about you but took me less than a day to complete fallout3

This has become a flaming topic.

agreed, OP clearly has stared himself blind on gameplay aspects and missed the whole picture.

Plus I bet 10$ once Vegas is out and his friends starts small talking how awesome it is I′m sure he will pick up his own copy.

OK, enough.

This was posted as an obvious attempt at flamebait and has continued through the posts.
